Creality has added two FFF systems to the Ender-3 range. Ender-3 V3 Mega has a 420 × 420 × 420 mm build volume, a Sprite 2 extruder positioned for large flexible parts, and vendor speed figures of 300 mm/s typical and 500 mm/s maximum. Ender-3 V3 Neo is a smaller 220 × 220 × 220 mm desktop model positioned as a first printer. Both are offered alone or with the four-channel CFS nano system.

Mega: the material path matters as much as size

Mega's plate has almost 96% more area than the 300 × 300 mm Ender-3 V3 Plus plate. Creality says the Sprite 2 path from drive gears to nozzle outlet is shortened from 86 to 74 mm to reduce buckling and bunching in soft filament. The stated range is 85A–95A TPU. That is a vendor compatibility claim, not an independent multi-brand material test.

Two Y motors move the large bed, a metal frame supports the structure and dual Z motors control vertical motion. Features include 81-point auto levelling, vibration compensation, filament-tangle detection and a tool-free nozzle. A nominal 420 mm envelope does not prove a 420 mm part is reliable: bed temperature field, first layer, acceleration, moving mass and long-run material supply still require validation.

Neo: compact footprint and optional multi-material feed

Neo lists a 220 mm cubic build area, 7.7 kg standalone mass, 2.85-inch touchscreen, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and up to 500 mm/s vendor speed. Its Sprite 2 extruder supports 90A–95A TPU in standalone mode. CFS nano can add automatic spool relay, Creality RFID recognition and switching among up to four filaments.

Multicolour does not automatically mean economical multi-material production. Changes can add purge, a prime tower, time and waste; incompatible adhesion and temperature windows also limit material combinations. Mega's claimed 74.5% purge reduction and 7.1% total-filament reduction relate to one described 36-part comparison and should not be generalised.

Evidence that is still missing

The official pages provide detailed feature lists, but no public independent measurements yet cover full-bed thermal uniformity, real volumetric flow, repeatability with 85A TPU, noise, energy use or CFS nano purge loss. Maximum motion speed is not evidence that a complete large model can run at that rate with acceptable vibration and melt flow.

Practical conclusion

Mega may fit large TPU prototypes, costume parts and batched small production if a shop qualifies the full plate and long material feed with representative jobs. Neo may fit desks where size, automatic setup and optional colour switching matter more than volume. Compare both with the same file and material at the required quality, measuring cycle time, scrap and maintenance rather than headline speed.

Sources and transparency

Dimensions, speeds, extruder, sensor and CFS functions are vendor specifications from Creality's official product pages. VoxelMatters detected the 16 October 2026 launch. No independent machine test was available at publication.
