Peopoly's 800 mm Giga 800 FGF goes on sale from $15,000
The pellet printer lists 3 kg/h, a 400°C hot end and laser bed mapping, but no independent production benchmark is public.
Peopoly has opened general sales of the Giga 800 large-format FGF printer after a five-month early-adopter phase. Starting at $15,000, it offers an 800 × 800 × 800 mm build volume and a screw extruder fed with pellets. A necessary correction: this is not an MSLA resin printer; it is an enclosed fused-granulate-fabrication system.
Core specifications
The vendor lists up to 3 kg/h flow, a 400°C nozzle, 120°C bed and an insulated enclosure that can reach about 60°C passively. The 320 kg machine uses a closed-loop servo CoreXY motion system, 0.4–3.0 mm nozzles, Klipper and OrcaSlicer. Maximum power is listed as 5 kW on 220–240 V.
The general-sale version maps the 800 × 800 mm bed with an onboard laser. That can compensate surface deviation; it does not automatically measure the thermal field, adhesion or shrinkage of a large part. Laser levelling is one calibration layer, not process validation.
FGF promise and limitation
Pellets usually cost less than filament and a large screw can shorten long jobs. Peopoly advertises up to 90% lower material cost and tenfold output, but these are vendor maxima without a defined comparison. Real economics include drying, scrap, startup and cleaning loss, energy, labour, machining and utilisation.
Mechanical retraction and Klipper Pressure Advance target the drool and corner overfill common to FGF. Results remain material-, screw-, nozzle- and flow-specific. Siraya Tech profiles may accelerate setup, but each pellet lot, drying state and application still needs its own coupons.
Procurement gates
Buyers should document price, freight, installation, warranty, regional service, spare screws and nozzles, acceptance parts, materials and training. Peopoly currently asks customers to request a quote. A reported 7–10-day US shipping window is not a universal regional commitment.
Editorial conclusion
Giga 800 brings an 800 mm FGF platform to an unusually low entry price. The decisive test is not a single 3 kg/h run, but dimensional, interlayer and yield stability across the bed and over multiple days with a defined material. No independent production benchmark establishes that yet.
Sources and transparency
General-sale status comes from VoxelMatters on 22 October 2026; specifications come from Peopoly's current product page and early-adopter announcement. Performance and savings figures are vendor claims.
